What is the Church?
The church is the entity which God established here on earth, a place for prayer, worship, rejoicing, praise, and the spiritual well-being of those committed to Christ.
Why go to Church?
Every person who has recently become a Christian or is experiencing a renewal of faith, needs a place to worship our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
It is important to become involved in the ministry of your local church, to stand up and be counted amongst those who are opposed to evil and sin. Churches provide united worship, inspiration and fellowship, as well as teachings about the bible.
The church is the ideal place to serve Christ and our fellowmen.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 5:16
How to choose a Church
It would be inappropriate for us to suggest any specific church. We, however, think that it is very important that you choose a church which is oriented to the preaching and teaching of the Bible. Churches differ from community to community, it is important that you are happy within the church you choose, one that suits your personality and spiritual needs.
All scripture is given by the inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.
2 Timothy 3:16
What to avoid
Be aware of false cults and sects which, sometimes, call themselves churches. Christians should avoid groups which deviate from the biblical message of Christian faith.
