TEACHING 1.

The Power of Prayer
through the Word of God

Just when life becomes heavy with burdens and problems, we don't seem to be able to fix. Some of us run straight into pray, of course this is the right thing to do the scriptures tell us to pray in all instances, not just in time of strife.

But how do we pray: Learning how to pray effectively is one of the most important things a believer can ever do in his Christian walk. Really a believer cannot be a success in fulfilling God's purpose in his life if he does not know how to pray according to biblical principles.

A believer's prayer life should be based and built upon the Word of God. As you read on you will be able to study these principles of prayer, determine to get them into your heart so you can practice in your own private prayer life.

Decide what you want from God and find the scriptures that definitely promise you these things. In most cases it is better to pray for 10 or 15 minutes and know what you are praying about than to pray for two or three hours without a clear direction, please note, don't pray just to pray!
There is one kind of prayer whereby we pray to have fellowship with God. But I am talking about praying to God specifically in order to receive an answer to prayer. Be specific in your praying, pray according to the word.

Too few Christians realise the importance of the Word of God in prayer. We know that faith begins where the will of God is known. And we know that God's Word is His will. So we will need to find scriptures that definitely promise the things we are asking for. If the scriptures don't promise the things you are desiring, then you have no business praying for those things. You can't have anything the Word of God says you can't have. Don't try to pray beyond your faith. It's the Word that gives you faith. It may be the reason why your prayers are not answered because your desires are not in the scriptures. Meditate in the Word of God; find the right scriptures that promise you what you desire from God. Fixed them firmly in your heart not only in the mind. (Joshua 1:8). And remind God of what He said in is Word. Remind God of His promises (Isaiah 43:25,26)

You can also use these scriptures to against demons who will try to make you doubt God and try to rob of what you want and deserve.

If you think that it is not God's will when your prayers are not answered you are wrong, for if you pray through the scriptures, (the Word of God), and stand in faith, then it is the will of God. (Mathew 7:7,8)

Try to understand and practise these principles in your life. As I continue every week here on the Net www.sachristian.co.za to put them into prospective for you. If you do, you will surely grow in your fellowship with the Heavenly Father. You can also learn to allow the Word of God to abide in you so you can pray according to God's will, and your prayers will be answered. Then Jesus' words in (John 16:24) will be fulfilled in your life: Your Joy will become full!

Best Greetings to all of you, brothers in Christ, may God bless you much as you continue to walk, the walk of faith in Jesus' Name. Praise and Glory be to God.

Yours Sincerely
Nando
